In 2014, at age 14, I started Our Amazing Fighters as a way to raise awareness and spread joy to kids, and their families in the fight against pediatric cancer. Our Amazing Fighters has a multitude of family support and advocacy programs and while I didn't have a direct connection to bring me into the pediatric cancer community, I like to say that I have a hundred reasons now to stay. These children have become my heroes, my little brothers, and sisters, and my best friends. This September we are lighting up gold in their honor, for the 337 children in Virginia who are diagnosed each year, and in memory of the precious angels from this state who we had the honor of knowing. Each of them truly is Our Amazing Fighter.
