My son, Jason, was diagnosed with Stage IV Burkitt's Leukemia/Lymphoma in February of 2016, at age 11. He is a happy and healthy 16-year-old now, but I live in fear of late effects of treatment every day... after all, 85% of children who survive cancer suffer chronic health problems as a result of chemo. Childhood cancer is not rare and we need better treatments. These kids are our future!
